Salad Series with Lemonette - Garden Basket Cabbage Salad
A 10 minute salad that's nutritious and easy to make!
Fresh organic cabbage from the farmers market is a wonderful thing. It can be used in so many different ways. The slightly sweet cabbage leaves have a nice crunchy texture that makes them perfect for salads especially when chopped. The nutrients from cabbage are abundant as it's a cruciferous vegetable like kale and Brussels Sprouts. It also provides fiber which is needed daily for a healthy diet.
While many turn to lettuce leaves for a basic salad, try this salad made with chopped cabbage and any other salad vegetable or fruit you may have in the house. We call it the Garden Basket Cabbage Salad since it's so easy to combine several great ingredients in one delicious bowl.
To top it off we enjoy using Lemonette Dressings from Sherman Oaks, California. This dressing is made in small batches with the best local ingredients in California. It's also lemon based for a tasty fresh natural flavor that isn't overpowered by vinegars, dairy, or soy. It's healthy with low sodium and no added sweeteners. Just a little bit goes a long way and makes each fork full a delight.
