Super Rich and Creamy Fresh Turmeric Ginger Latte

We adapted this recipe with a few fresh ingredients. With Fat Uncle Farms raw almonds on hand, we made fresh almond milk and used that instead of store bought. The ginger is fresh and squeezed instead of shredded. 

Turmeric Ginger Latte

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1-inch ginger, grated then squeezed for the juice (discard root)
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1 cup fresh almond milk (slightly heated on the stove top)

Combine all of the ingredients up to the almond milk. Once the almond milk is warm, stir into the mixture and drink!

For the Almond Milk

  • 1/4 almonds 
  • 1 1/2 cups of water

What you need: Cheesecloth

Blend the almonds with water until fully broken down. Squeeze the liquid through a cheesecloth over a pitcher. Discard the almond shards, or bake them on a sheet at 200 degrees for up to two hours and reuse in salads, or cookies.
