Eco-Travel and Urban Detox In Dallas

There are incredible juice shops designed by talented, creative people sprouting up in cities across the U.S. For those who love health and wellness, they are so much more than just the local spot. The cities these small batch juicers call home, are becoming top destinations for foodies and fitness minded enthusiasts. Boom Juice in Dallas is one.

For highly active people, vacations without a specific plan or result can be tiresome. If you organize a trip around a desired result, however, it's an opportunity for a new experience. Crafting travel around restoration for mind and body is the perfect getaway. Shopping your items on Treatmo before you get there to plan your diet and destinations makes it even better.

The Treatmo team learned about Boom Juice Dallas on our Trail of Goodness -- the journey to craft a better way of staying in touch with food that is good for you and the environment. This was my first trip to Dallas (outside the airport), and I wanted to see if I could design this trip with the environment in mind.

Research for the trip started with Googling 'Green Hotels Dallas.' From a site VisitDallas.com, I decided upon NYLO Hotels - Dallas South Side. I was most drawn by the effort this hotel is making to leave less of a footprint on the environment

The highest priority of a Detox Stay is a good night's sleep, which you don't always get at home where your mind is running 500 mph. For me, I also wanted to be central to outdoor activities and healthy food spots. Boom Juice as it happens is in the Dallas Farmers Market -- a 5 minute drive from NYLO Dallas South Side.

The feel good, friendly brand extends to the products -- nutrient dense, creative ingredients, delicious and smartly crafted. You can always tell when people care about what they create, and these two are passionate about making food that fuels a healthy lifestyle.

I picked up the Glow Cleanse after purchasing on Treatmo -- it's got my faves like greens, citrus, beets and almond milk. Boom Juice can deliver to your hotel too, which is really convenient if you're on a business trip. The Glow 6-pack powered me through a day of meetings and exploration. On day 1 of my Detox, I had two in the evening and packed up the rest in my mini portable and packable cooler for the following day.

A great way to get to know a city is on its bike/running trails. For this reason, I was really excited to visit the Katy Trail nearby Boom Juice. It's a beautiful spot to exercise in the early morning and evening. Grab you juice at the Farmer's Market and hop on the highway.

For a health and wellness centered trip, the fitness component is key. Access to the outdoors together with the juice completes it. With my juices in my rented Dollar Prius, and the trail at my feet, I was feeling pretty eco-minded right in the center of a bustling urban center. And I loved it.

To grow you have to get out of your routine and try new things, which is why we love Treatmo. It's the app that let's you plan and do a cleanse or juice boost while on an eco trip. Learning more about the world around you through real, unprocessed food and sharing it with friends leaves you with a happy and healthy feeling.

One thing I know, once you try real almond milk, it's impossible to settle for anything less. You want access to it wherever you go. Saving Boom Juice to my favorites on Treatmo bookmarks it for my next visit to Dallas and marks it as a place to get my fix. Find and save what you thrive on.

The best thing about Treatmo was that my family treated me while I was there to more juice. Sharing the experience with them through photos and chat in the app made the trip one to remember.
